Farewell Peter Savage – The Godfather of Vape
Farewell Peter Savage The Godfather of Vape
This year, the vaping industry lost one of its most cherished figures: Peter Savage, founder of Premier E-Cigs and a man we lovingly considered ‘The Godfather of Vape.’ His passing is felt deeply by all who had the pleasure to know him, and the Vapouround Global Awards felt like the perfect occasion to honour his memory.
Peter’s journey with vaping began in a deeply personal way. After being diagnosed in 2012 with pulmonary fibrosis, a relentless disease affecting around 70,000 people in the UK each year, he was given just five years to live. Remarkably, Peter defied the odds, living not only for five years but for twelve. His discovery of vaping became a transformative experience, enabling him to finally quit smoking after years of struggle. This personal victory led him to found Premier E-Cigs in 2013, creating a legacy that would benefit both his family and countless others in the UK.
Over the past decade, Peter opened 17 successful vape stores across the Midlands. However, he became more than just a businessman; he emerged as a pillar of the vaping community and a source of kindness and compassion. Known for his genuine nature and his willingness to support those around him, Peter was not only respected but also deeply beloved.
He leaves behind a legacy that has had a lasting impact on the lives of many, and his influence can be felt across the industry. His journey with Premier E-Cigs and his commitment to helping others reflected the values he held closest to his heart. He inspired so many to choose a healthier path, and his impact will continue to ripple through the industry.
For those who wish to honour Peter’s memory and help others affected by Pulmonary fibrosis, we invite you to donate to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, an organisation that supports individuals and families coping with this terminal illness. Please visit www.actionpf.org/get-involved/donate to contribute.
Rest in peace, dear friend.
